Sister Brenna Morgan!!

My sister Brenna got her mission call last September!

SPOKANE, WASHINGTON...HERE SHE COMES!

General Conference Weekend!

I wanted to do some fun things last fall, during Conference weekend, just to sort of bring in new traditions. I made a fun breakfast (Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Crepes) and we made conference glasses out of pipe cleaners and played a bunch of other fun games! I wanted to teach my children that Conference is not only a great time to build our testimonies, but also to spend quality family time and build memories.

Fall Colors!

A friend and I went for a drive up Cedar Mountain to see the colors last fall. Look at these amazing pictures we got! These were all taken up Right Hand Canyon, just under the "C" (which seems like such a narrow strip of land from down below!). It was gorgeous up there! I couldn't believe there was room for ranches and fields with picket fences and little cabins...as well as BIG ones!

My Little Logan

Logan kneeled down one night, out of the blue, and said family prayers with us! It was SO cute...and reminded us about how fast our babies are growin up!

Poor Logie is pretty sensitive to respiratory illnesses. This was one of his many trips to the E.R. for some Epinephrine to open up his airway during one of his Croup episodes. I'd never had a kid get Croup before, so after a couple of scary bouts with it, we know what to watch for and how to treat it better. I remember that that was a LONG night!

I don't know what he was doing, but for some reason, Logan thought this doggie dish fit his little bummie PERFECTLY! He LOVED to sit in it and would even get his lil rear stuck in it! haha.

Cruising in the Barbie Car!

If it was good weather outside, the kids were out driving the Barbie Car...that's all there is to it! We LOVED our neighborhood. We lived at the end of a cul-de-sac and there was hardly ever any traffic! Our kids basically had the run of the street! It was SO fun to see the kids all come out and just play so well! The kids had so much fun with their friend Sadie Webb and that car, that Jason decided to try and find them a used one for Christmas! We miss our fun and quiet road so much now that we've moved!

Yucky Tonsils...

In the end of August last year, Jonas was just always sick with a nasty throat. Strep Throat, Tonsilitis, SNORING LIKE A GROWN MAN, yucky nose all the time. I would snuggle him while he'd take a nap each day and he would stop breathing and choke every 1/2 hour or so! It was scary! I finally had enough and asked for a refurral. The Ear Nose and Throat doc took one look in his throat and said his throat was almost blocked by the tonsils and adenoids, and that they definitely needed to come out. Jonas had last been seen by a doctor two weeks before that, and still had the same infection in them that wouldn't go away! I didn't want it to interfere with his first few weeks of school, so we hurried and got them out in late August. Jonas was SUCH a trooper! He is just fearless! The poor kid got them taken out and seemed to be doing so well and overdid it a little that first day. The next day he rested, but not for long because he would get so bored! He'd go back and forth from doing well to looking not so great, but we just couldn't keep him down and resting for very long! In the end, the worst day was day 5 or 6, but after that he was great, and just kept getting better each day! He worried me a little there for those few days, but it was worth it! NO MORE SNORING and no more yucky throat and nose! I never thought that poor kid would ever become sick of icecream and popsicles, but boy, was he ready for real food again!

Our Volunteer Garden

So, I hate to say it but our garden was pretty neglected in 2011. We tried the black plastic thing, but we just couldn't get anything to grow! It wasn't very far into the summer when I got too busy with work and just gave up on it. So, imagine my surprise when in September, I went out to go pull the weeds out and found A WATERMELON PATCH just growing three decent watermelons! I remember walking into the house and bringing a doubting Jason outside and seeing the look on his face when he saw them! He was shocked! We've never been able to get a watermelon to grow, and then the one time we give up on a garden and we get THREE!

Our lettuce sprouts. These came up all over the grass, all because I accidentally
let my lettuce go to seed one year!

 The largest of the watermelons!

SO excited to cut it open!

We noticed it was weeping after we cut it open! We've never had a watermelon do this, but we've never had such a fresh watermelon!

The watermelon probably should have had a few more days on the vine in the end, but it was fun to see something THAT BIG come out of our garden!

First Day of School 2011

Aw, my babies are growing up! For a special breakfast for the first day of school, I made us heart pancakes and bacon. Kinsey was going into 1st grade and her teacher was Ms. Harding. Jonas was going into his first year of preschool and had Miss Annalese at Three Peaks Preschool. I have such cute and smart kids!!

Smokejumpers!

I was at work last summer and found out that there was going to be a Proficiency Jump for the Smokejumpers that were stationed in town. My boss asked me to take some detailers up to watch, so I called Jason and had him bring the kids and meet me up the mountain to where they normally jump. Everyone had such a fun time! The Spotter had us walk right down to the landing area and we had to dodge the jumpers as they landed! How cool! Everyone was so nice to us and welcoming! I even have a picture of Jonas wearing a Smokejumper helmet, but I can't find it!

BOWLING NIGHT!!

Last year, we all got a wild hair and decided to go bowling! I could NOT believe how much fun we all had, especially Jonas and Kinsey!! Auntie Brennie came with us and made it even more fun!! Logie was such a little chunk! I can't believe how fast kids grow up in a year!

Jonas was fascinated with the ball return and loved to pick out balls for us to use!

A trip to the bowling alley is never complete without a ride on the merry go round!!

We LOVE bowling!

He's just so cute...

I just have so many cute and very random pictures of Logan! I decided I needed an 'All About Logan' post! I thought today that I've never before had such a cuddly little kid OR such a busy one, either, so what are the odds that both of those traits ended up in the SAME KID?! Haha.
Logan fell asleep in his highchair (he never does this!)...I don't know any mother who doesn't have a few of these pictures floating around! Its just the cutest thing ever!

He loves to dress up and be silly with Kinsey and Jonas! A lot of times he'll come running out of his room in some funny get-ups!

Climbing...this was only a couple of months after he learned to walk!

Climbing again so he can turn the lights off and on! Yeah, the room is a mess too; showing off another one of his talents!

Climbing again....haha. He was quite the little mischief at that age!

We love our little Logan...he's so fun and squishy and cute!
