Cock A Doodle Doo!

So guess what I heard this morning....a COCK A DOODLE DOO! I was laying in bed kinda waking up when I heard this meager attempt. I couldn't believe my ears! I have been waiting for at least one of these four white chickens to turn out to be male...they were hatched out of eggs and so the odds were...one of them had to be male! Well, I get out there, start watching the white chickens and none of them were making the noise! Well, SOMEONE was making the noise! I look around the corner and guess who was cock a doodle dooing....SARAH CHICKEN! I was completely dumbfounded! She's always been the biggest by far...I couldn't figure out why because they all looked about the same size/age when I got them as chicks. She's had a very dark red comb and waddle for a while now, but I've had no eggs from her. She's pretty protective and sometimes aggressive. Yeah, I'm an idiot! She's a MAN! hahah. The funniest thing about this is that it never crossed my mind she was a HE! These other white ones I've had pegged from day one as at least one of them being a rooster, but they all look the same and are as developed....or underdeveloped...as the other chickens! Wow, I had a surprise this morning! Yeah, so now I gotta eat my second favorite chicken...or give him away...or something! My first favorite bird was...as you know....eaten by the midget doggie down the street. Well, they are dropping like flies around here! Anyone want a Buff Orpington Rooster? hahaha.
