Rocky Mountain Goats!

This past weekend, we went into the Tushar Mountains, up on Beaver mountain, and camped Friday night and then joined a Rocky Mountain Goat scouting party on Saturday morning. We had so much fun with our friends, the Hancocks, and we even managed to almost get to the summit, (which was around 12, 000 feet) in our minivan!!! Ha! We have a minivan and we know how to use it! Anyway, we saw two herds of the goats, but we were at the tail end of the party driving up there, so they had moved pretty far by the time we got there. But, we still got pictures! This first picture is of the mountain where we could see the herd--gorgeous! Find the skinny piece of snow just to the right of center of the picture. Then, look at the second picture. (click on it to enlarge if necessary) On the second picture, all those white dots are the goats! Fun huh! The third picture is, yes, a beaver! There were three of them in a dammed up area on the way up the canyon. The fourth picture is our group, minus me. Kinsey had gotten car sick on the way up the switchbacks, so she's in her clean jammies. The fifth picture is Jonas in his smurf outfit. Merle and Connie were getting him to smile and laugh, until I walked up just after this was taken. Then he started to cry and fuss. Momma's boy. Gotta love it. Anyway, we had a blast, (except the car-sick part) and we'd like to make it a tradition! Even the losing miserably at Canasta part!
