SnOw dAy!!

Yesterday morning, we woke up to snow--as did most of Utah--and I was so excited to see it, I immediately dug out all our snow gear. We went outside and played and had a ball. It was so pretty outside! My poor flowers, however, didn't survive! These big pink flowers are my Dhalias and they were just getting healthy looking and big, and the smaller ones are Acidantheas. They just barely flowered like last week! But, I thought it was pretty how they were frozen stiff with their heads bowed! This was Jonas' first snow storm that he could go out in! It was fun to see him play with the snow! He loves to be outside! Oh, and all I have to say is: why can't I ever find the mittens when I need them? So, my kids are sporting socks on their hands! haha. How ghetto am I? After all was said and done, I think I counted 5 inches of snow on our patio table! The picture of the big trees are of the lots north of us. It was peaceful outside! I love how peaceful it is after it snows! Yeah, ask me again in a few months if I like the peacefulness of winter and see what I say then!

We came in from having such a fun, spontaneous morning that I decided that instead of our usual cold cereal, I'd make a special breakfast....egg toast! Kinsey loves it and I found a pumpkin cookie cutter even though it felt more like Christmas time! I've been sewing and crafting for 3 days straight and it feels like Christmas already because I'm so excited about giving our gifts this year! I keep thinking that I need to hurry and finish like I do every year, and then I realize that its not even past Halloween yet! Wow, I guess I'm on the ball for once!
