yAy! SaNTa CaME!

So, if you haven't guessed.....Santa found our house!! That plate of cookies was piled high and the mug was full of milk, I might add....that Santa is a muncher! Hahaha. Each of us got a movie in our stockings which was super fun! Jason got "Pete's Dragon", I got "Robin Hood", Kinsey got "Ratatouille" and Jonas got "Toy Story". The whole family got "Meet the Robinsons" and we thought that was fun! Both kids got mechanical pets...Kinsey got a Snow Leopard kitten and Jonas got a Beagle puppy. Kinsey got a Play Dough Ice Cream Shop toy, some jammies, slippers, some bracelet making stuff, a big ole box of Littlest Petshop toys, a barbie car and a table and chairs! Jonas got some big Legos, a cookie jar-shape sorter, a lawnmower from kinsey, jammies and socks too. Jason got a .22 Marlin, some cook books, and some oil painting stuff. Brennie got the kids some cool finger puppet animals from New Zealand and they are way cool! I got two of those new Jane Austen movies that the BBC has made recently, some towels, an MP3 player, and just a bunch of other great stuff. Santa really spoiled me this year! Our family got a digital picture frame that I'm so excited about! Anyway, the kids didn't wake up until 8am, and Jason and I woke up early because we were so excited, so we got ready and called Brennie and Juli to come over. They got there just in time for a quick breakfast and cleanup and then we all headed down to St. George a couple hours later than we intended to! We got there around noon and hung out and opened presents there! We got some awesome new cooking pans and a salad bowl from Dad and Cheryl! We love them! Kinsey got dress-up clothes, a new tea set and Jonas got a Thomas activity center. We ended up leaving right before they ate dinner....and of course they were eating Lamb and Goat and Chicken and all sorts of awesome food...Grrrr. We left St. George around 3pm and drove and the trip seemed to never end! Jonas screamed from Vegas until about an hour before we got there. He has the most intense scream these days and he knows how to use it! I had a migraine from sitting next to him and trying to calm him. He sleeps on his stomach and he was so over-tired from the busy day and not getting naps that he was a mess. He would sleep for 15 minutes and I would just drift off to sleep, and then he would be screaming again. What a nightmare. We got to Bakersfield, (where Jason's parents live), and we felt beat up and on our last nerve. I was pretty horrible the whole trip, poor Jason. I was upset we had to be cooped up in the car for the majority of Christmas as it was, and then the screaming made me completely mutinous! Then to miss the awesome dinner and the visiting and relaxing...lets just say I wasn't the nicest person by the time we got to Bakersfield. But, we got a good night sleep and the rest of the vacation was great...I love being IN Bakersfield, but the trips there and back are not so easy with Jonas at his age. Give it a few months, once he knows how to zombie-out to a movie in the car, we'll be SET!

It looks like you guys had a great Christmas! Nothing is like watching your kids open presents and being so happy! It's a fun day. Kaylynn loved the princess table and chairs.
