On Thursday, Kinsey had her Valentines day party at school, and so we finished up Kinsey's valentines for her classmates the day before. She had so much fun! I got her started on them a few days before and I told her that she could put them in the little envelopes and put the stickers on them. Well, the valentines that she picked out didn't have envelopes, so I went to
Walmart to get some that did. I didn't realize that they don't really do envelopes for valentines anymore and couldn't find any! So, I came home, tried telling Kinsey that I couldn't find any to buy and she was heartbroken! So, I made 18 mini envelopes by hand, but she and I had fun crafting together!

After school on Thursday, Kinsey came home and opened her big valentine envelope and had SO much fun checking out all the fun stuff! She got a couple of tattoos with her valentines and she didn't want to try one out...I know I should be excited about that!....but they were fun and I wanted her to at least try one out. There was a princess one and a
Kung Fu panda one and once she saw me put one on, she was game. It was fun.
On Valentines Day morning, I gave Kinsey a pillowcase that I made her and she got a stuffed elephant from her daddy. I was trying to not get them a ton of stuff and to do more of a "quality time, not quality crap" tradition. Kinsey loved the pillowcase and Jonas had fun having us all home and being together. I got

some blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, and bananas and made
Swedish pancakes and topped them with the fruit and some powdered sugar. I also got some sparkling cider and we had a "
champagne brunch". I think we had a real fun morning and I think we should make it a tradition! Jonas didn't get a glass of cider and was
begging off us....I think my son is a bit of a lush!
hahah. We couldn't pry him off the glass! Its sure been fun having Kinsey grow older and see her get into some of the activities that I am into! I tried not to hope that she would be artsy and crafty like I try to be, so its a nice surprise to see her loving to make cards and bracelets and hound me while I'm sewing because she wants to try. I love it that she's getting older and she can remember our traditions now and remember the fun things we try to plan for her! I've said it once and I'll say it again: EVERY age is my favorite age when it comes to cute kids like these two!
