The picture of the plate loaded with randomness is the plate we set out for Santa and his reindeer (because we left out some broccoli, too!). Jason's mom said she had some Grasshopper cookies, and I adamantly replied "OH, Santa LOVES Grasshopper cookies!!" He does, you know! The picture of Jonas looking all innocent is after he snuck a cookie from the plate! Most of the pictures are of Christmas morning! Jonas would open a present and play with it for 20 minutes or so, then finally give in to our prods and come open another! Finally, after everyone was finished opening, he still had a huge pile to open, so I literally had to hold him on my lap and force the kid to open them! Its been a hard year for all of our family, but its easy to see that to most of them, Christmas isn't Christmas

unless the kids have lots to open! I made a lot of the presents we gave to our family this year, not only because it was cheaper in some ways, but I like the idea of going back to basics...giving things that are functional, yet fun and personalized as well. I like a homespun Christmas, I guess. I feel like if I put more into the gift, it means more to me to give. There is a picture of Jonas with a toy guitar and he has a weird face...that's his "rockin out" face! I kinda caught it funny, but he squishes his face up and rocks out! Its really cute. He also got some toy guns this year and a lot of other boy

toys. His room actually looks like a little boy lives in it now! Kinsey is getting so grown up. She got a new camera, which is actually a grown up camera that looked easy to work. She asked for a lot of more grown up toys this year, and I believe she got all her heart desired! My favorite things she got were "Chutes and Ladders" and "Candyland" games! I loved those games when I was little! Christmas morning, we had them all out and were playing with them! I KNOW I missed mentioning all of the other awesome gifts the kids got, but there were just so many...! This Christmas was

super fun and we had a blast! It was nice being in California and not having to wear our parkas outside! We usually go to Bakersfield for Easter, but this year, with Easter being just a week or two before I'll have the baby, we realized we won't get back there until May or June at the earliest! That was kinda hard for me! By the time Easter rolls around, I'm ready for some sun and warm weather, so I'm begging to go to Cali for the holiday! So, we stayed in Bakersfield for a week and just enjoyed every day of it!
