So, per our Christmas tradition, we went to a Bakersfield Condor's hockey game the day after Christmas! Jason's parents watched the kids and we went and had a ball! Jason's cousin Jimmy came, and so did Jason's sister Stefanie and her boyfriend Louis! They always play loud music and have giveaways and drop free stuff from the sky! Its just a lot of fun! The Monday after Christmas, we drove into the Huntington Beach area to see my Grandpa Roy, who is in an assisted living home there! He's the same fun and sassy guy I remember growing up with! We sure do miss him, and

boy did he spoil the kids! We ate lunch with him in the restaurant-style dining hall in the facility, took a walk to meet some of his friends and neighbors, then skidaddled before traffic got too bad. When we got home from California, I was shocked to find some green eggs in the coop!! No, they aren't bad eggs, they are supposed to be green! I have two hens that are supposed to lay green or blue eggs, but they never have, until now! I thought they were defective hens! hahaha. I had just gotten used to the idea that they lay "normal" eggs until they dropped this bombshell!

haha.

Hey Caitlin,
The B'day lunch was soooooo fun!
Thank-you again......I loved having Jonas and Kins with us....that was an extra treat!
The basket full of eggs is beautiful!!!! The green eggs are really more nutritious than the white or tan, the hens however take a little longer to start laying! Fun, huh! Mom
