Kinsey's first day of Kindergarten was August 31st....which was about a week and a half after all the other grades started back....so I'd been harassed by her and asked EVERYDAY if she could go. When the day finally came, she didn't seem nervous or anything, just real excited and confident! It made me think back two autumns ago when I took her to her first day of preschool and she was so nervous she was sick! I'm so glad she wasn't worried this time! When we got to the school, I thought Jason was going to meet me in her classroom, (he had to get another teacher to watch his class so he could come and see her off!), so I said goodbye and tried not to make a big deal out of it and went down to Jason's
room to give him something he'd asked me to bring. When I got to his classroom, he looked at me all shocked and said "I thought you were going to come get me so we could say goodbye together!" I just shrugged and we went BACK to her class, took this cute picture and Jason just didn't want to leave! He watched her through the glass door and I finally said, "You gotta let her go!" haha. I forget, I've been taking Kinsey to school for two years now, but Jason's never seen her in her element like I have. He denies it, but I am positive his eyes were "sweating" as we walked off! So cute. Kinsey is such a little student and so eager to please and learn! I love it and I love her. Now, lets hope she loves school this much when she's a teenager!
