This is Sarah Chicken trying to sneak into my garden and another one of her eating a pork chop...yes, a pork chop. It a favorite of theirs. At least it wasn't chicken we were feeding her! Isn't she getting big? A few posts ago she was this snuggly little squeaker and now she's a tad bit snippy. She has PMS I think. Its okay, if a fox got into the coop, I feel perfectly sure that she'd peck its eyes out. She's still friendly to me and the kids and will let us pick her up if she's having a good day, but wow, she's a fiesty one!

This is a frog we found last night right out front of our house! My first froggie of the year! I named him Iggy in honor of Brenna. Isn't he cute.....I know he was a boy cause he peed all over me! Just like a man! hahahah. I shoulda named him Mr. Salmonella, but I didn't and just washed my hands after.

These next two pics are of Zeke and one of the white Chiggens...first one showing the chicken chasing the cat...the next one is of the cat chasing the chicken...classic. I have a confession: I am a little chicken racist. The brown ones (light and dark) are much more social with me and the kids than the white ones. The white ones are a little snooty and they aren't growing very fast. I don't see Curly much, but I think its because he can't get around with his bum foot and is embarrassed by it. Poor guy. hahaha. My orpingtons are genetically predisposed to be, well, fat and I think they are much more attractive! I like a little "more to love" when it comes to the chicken department! The white ones are just boring right now. I've only named one out of the five of them and that's mainly because they all look the same (besides my handicapped Curly) and so I can't name chickens I can't tell apart! Heaven forbid I have identical twins...! No, but really, they don't give me anything to work with. No, wait, they do. One of the white ones chronically has poop on its wing.....I guess I could name him Poop Wing or something like that! hahhaa. I'm at work right now and rambling on....don't mind me!

The dark one is Anne. She has a redder head than the other Americaunas. There is a dark headded one named Diana and a maroon colored one named Cordelia. Yeah, I was really into Anne of Green Gables as you can tell! If we get a rooster out of the white ones maybe I'll name it Gilbert! hahah. Sarah Chicken and Anne are usually the first ones to come see me when I go to visit them!

This is Zekie gettin cleaned up after eatin some leftovers the chickens let him have. For all of you who are wondering: ZEKE IS EXCLUSIVELY AN OUTDOOR KITTY PRIMARILY OBTAINED TO CONTROL THE RODENT POPULATION and to snuggle every once in a while when we need a little kitty attention.
Another one of Anne. I think she's gorgeous! They look like Hawks and chirp kinda like them too! I'm so excited to get eggs out of them!
More chickens...oviously...but I think one of those white ones is Curly. I think he's a rooster and has a foot with some messed up toes, thus...Curly.

Sarah Chicken and Zeke sharing some lunch....yeah...anyone else see something wrong? hahah. Zeke tries to pounce on them but Sarah has taught him some manners. Told you she's the boss!
Anyway, I'm having fun with my Chickens! Last night was the second time we had them out of the run! They were fun to watch and loved being out! I had forgotten to put them away at around 9pm last night and went out to find them in their house, snug as a bug, so I just shut the door to their run and called it good! I always knew they were supposed to go back home to roost but I was worried to actually let them out. No eggs yet, though Sarah Chicken should be laying me one soon....oh wait....I guess there could be one in the yard somewhere! hahah.
