This is why 4 year-olds shouldn't watch Hannah Montana!

...or should....I dunno. Depends on your point of view! Kinsey has been saying such funny things lately! The other day I was doing dishes and Kinsey walks up to me, with this worried/serious look on her face...
Kinsey: "Mommy"
Me: "What?"
Kinsey: "I wanna be like other girls"
Me: "You what?" (Yeah, that definitely got my attention...first thing I thought was, We don't own Mulan 2...cause I've seen previews to it and they sing a song that says that in it.)
Kinsey: "I wanna be like other girls"
Me: "um...you are like other girls" (after thinking about it a bit...I don't really want her to be exactly like other girls, but I was trying to be in the 4 year-old mind.)
Kinsey: "oh, okay" and runs off.
Me thinking: what the crack was that all about?

Then another one...
Kinsey walks up to me holding this birthday card like it was a million dollar diamond necklace from her birthday, lets see, months ago....
Kinsey: "Mommy, this is SOOO sweet"
Me: (trying to not laugh) "it is, isn't it"

Another....
Jason and I were up late watching Dog the Bounty Hunter after kids were in bed...I was quilting, Jason was veggin. Kinsey walks out of her room LONG after we thought she'd be comatose and says...
Kinsey: "Mommy, I'm not sleepy."
Me: "sorry kinsey, you know the rules. Its time for bed."
Kinsey: "but MOM, I just wanna HANG OUT."
Jason and I look at each other, hide our smiles and stifle our chuckles and I think it melted Jason just enough because Kinsey proceeded to watch, of all things, a little DOG with us, which btw, Jason is hooked to! Mehe!

So, as you can tell we've recently hooked up to satellite. I come home and Kinsey's watching Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers and stuff like that and I am informed that she's been watching that stuff all day.....I can't say much because Jason's home with the kids and I'm incredibly grateful that he's with them and filling my requests that the kids eat more than watermelon and chips and salsa all day....but maybe we need to utilize the public playgrounds a little more! hahaha. I think its hard for him a little in the summers because there are no other stay at home dads like him to just go hang out with with kids in tow, so he gets a little bored! Anyway, I know I've missed some Kinsey-isms, so I'll have to update later!

Kids say the funniest things! That is sad she didn't like the movie "UP". We were going to go to it but maybe we shouldn't. Nice fish!!

Oh man I totally know what you mean. Our girls are at that age where we really have to start watching what they listen to. I didn't think Emma paid that much attention to what plays on the radio while we run errands in the car, but she sits in the back and sings all the words to the songs. And that's not always a good thing.

I hope its a girl too. I keep telling myself that it will be over soon but then reality hits and I realize how much longer I have. Your so sweet to offer to bring us dinner but we're doing ok. When I do get better and things slow down for you we need to get together. I miss hanging out with all my friends.
